Jes Reyes (she/they) is a multimedia artist, artist organizer, and art facilitator practicing in mixed media art, video, and more. Her artwork is rooted in play, vulnerability, experimentation, collaboration, and the blending of disciplines.They live and work in St. Paul, Minnesota. She has exhibited and screened her artwork throughout the Twin Cities and is the founder of the Altered Esthetics Film Festival and Moonplay Cinema.

An extension of Jes's art practice is to bring artists and people together, building larger and stronger creative, compassionate, supportive, and responsive communities. Jes identifies as queer, feminist, and punk.  She is passionate equitable arts access and offering support to other creatives.

Beneath the Skin ​(2016) 6 min: 36 seconds ​

​Beneath the Skin explores the ongoing tenderness I feel towards the loss of my mother. It gets to the heart of my grief by exploring how my deepest memories lay beneath my skin. They flow in waves, appear distorted and can take over my mind when I am least expecting it.
